YOU DESERVE A FINANCIAL ADVISOR YOU CAN TRUST.

About Well Planned Financial

If you’re like many young professionals, you’re smart enough to realize you can benefit from a financial advisor. You recognize that the budgeting app your friend recommended or your favorite personal finance book are not enough to put you on the path to financial security. You need help putting your mind over your money.

When questions arise, you want to turn to a professional financial advisor for answers. Someone who is your financial ally.

Your financial circumstances are unique to you and your goals are specific to your situation. Nobody has the same account balances, the same timeline, and the same objectives that you do. So, generic advice will only take you so far.

What you need is someone who understands where you want to go and can help guide you along the way.

Regardless of your assets or your age, you’ve worked hard to get to where you are. You’ve earned the right to work with a financial advisor who is dedicated to working in your best interests.

Well-Planned Financial, LLC is a fee-only financial advisory firm, providing services to Gen X and Millennial professionals. We offer financial education and coaching when you want a financial ally on your side and accountability in your corner.

We believe that everyone has their own unique “financial personality.” Your financial personality has developed over your lifetime and if you have a spouse or partner, remember that opposites typically attract. After understanding the financial personalities involved, we work hard to create personalized financial plans catered to your needs. We are not judgmental nor do we look back on past mistakes; we start from where you are today and where you want to be. There is no FOG (fear of guilt) over past money management.

PHILIP SWANN

My name is Philip Swann, and I founded Well Planned Financial after 32 years of running my own successful construction company.

My family and I have been able to enjoy the American Dream, but I didn’t always get the best advice from financial professionals over the years. In fact, my experience with commission-based financial advisors and stockbrokers I trusted was disappointing, at best.

This disappointment inspired me to learn as much as I could about investment management and I even went back to college to earn a degree in financial planning, determined that becoming a trusted financial advisor would be an important part of my living legacy.

Looking back, I wish that I could have had a relationship with a fee-only financial planner all along—a fiduciary, who was working for my best interests, rather than individuals who were more interested in high commissions earned from selling financial products.

What I needed was advice and guidance. And that’s what I believe all young professionals need—a fee-only financial advisor who is paid specifically for providing education, insight, and coaching.

“Money is simply a tool to help you achieve your goals. Like any tool, you need to learn how to use it properly or it can cause more harm than good.”

Over time, I started to notice a disturbing trend. In my community and across the country, the American Dream is slipping away—not because the opportunity isn’t there, but because people have accepted the idea that incurring massive amounts of debt is a sacrifice you have to make to live the dream and it is restraining their financial future.

Recognizing the societal pressures and financial challenges many young professionals face further fueled my desire to establish Well-Planned Financial, LLC and serve as a trusted advisor and financial ally.

The good news is, with the right guidance and accountability, your financial goals are more attainable.
